 Hello all, my name is Gemma Louise Johnson. I have been working as a professional singer/performer for over ten years. 

I am very passionate about teaching children the values of performing arts.

I hope to help children gain confidence, social skills and team work.

 I hope to pass on my own experience and knowledge within the world of performing arts, music and drama to the younger generation.

Performing arts is such an amazing subject that has helped me gain so many valuable skills that have helped me throughout my younger years right through to adult life. STAGE GEMS is something I have been wanting to set up for a long time as I feel drama, singing and dance helps children develop in so many ways.

 I have spent many years as a solo singer/vocalist travelling and performing all around the world on p&o cruise ships with my own show and live four piece band. I have trained professionally in all aspects of performance and singing. I studied at the Liverpool Media Academy for three years and received a  BTEC National extended diploma in MUSICAL THEATRE.

I then went on to receive a scholarship at the well known Liverpool music school which was confounded by Sir Paul McCartney one of The Beatles,LIPA. The Liverpool Institute For Performing Arts. Here I studied a foundation degree in Singing. 

 

I have taken examinations in various subjects dance, singing and

drama and I have performed in many plays, musicals and shows. Back in 2011 I was very lucky to take part on the hit television show THE XFACTOR. On the show I reached the final 19 girls which was an amazing experience. I have had lots of experience working with children as a youth a worker on the project STREET MATES along side Liverpool city council. I have also worked across Liverpool teaching children performance workshops, singing  and other performance classes in various dance and drama schools.

 My most recent achievement was performing on tour around Wales with the fantastic Britian's Got Talent stars Richard and Adam. Who I am very proud to have as patrons of STAGE GEMS performing arts.
